Chalet La Turche ( www.chaletlaturche.co.uk ) comprises two privately owned semi-detached chalets - Chalet La Turche 1 (sleeps 15) and Chalet La Turche 2 (sleeps 14). They are located at the end of a picturesque tree-lined blue run, just 100m above the La Turche lift in the beautiful village of Les Gets.
THE CHALET WAS VOTED IN TOP 15 IN EUROPE FOR SKI LOCATION IN 2002 (OBSERVER NEWSPAPER).

Guests can simply ski straight from the chalet to the ski lift which will take them into the heart of the resorts ski domain and on to the Portes du Soleil ski circuit and simply return home down a gentle picturesque blue run.

LOCATION

Les Gets is the gateway to the vast Portes du Soleil ski region. It is a traditional and charming Savoyarde village, with typical architecture. The centre of the village is traffic free, and here you’ll find boutiques, kerbside cafés, excellent restaurants and bars, decorated by twinkling fairy lights in the winter and an abundance of flowers in baskets and troughs throughout the summer.

Situated only 1 hour from Geneva airport, Les Gets village is at an altitude of 1172m, with ski slopes rising to over 2000m. Its unique microclimate ensures Les Gets has a snow record comparable to the highest resorts.

There is plenty of varied skiing in the Les Gets/Morzine area to keep you busy for the duration of your stay , and for those wishing to ski further a field, then Les Gets connects with 14 other resorts that form the largest internationally linked ski area in the world. You can take morning coffee in Avoriaz-France, have lunch in Champery-Switzerland then return home stopping in one of the many mountain restaurants that you will pass on the way back to Les Gets.

FACILITIES

The large Alpine chalet is divided into 2 completely independent chalets, sleeping 14 & 15 people respectively.

Ground floor: Entrance to chalet with excellent heated storage areas for skis and boots. There is a games room for occupying the children in the evening.

First floor: Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and microwave. Lounge dining area with a log burning open fire. Terrace overlooking the piste. A double bedroom and a triple room in LT1 with a Double bedroom and twin room in LT2. Separate bathroom & WC.

Second floor: 2 double bedrooms and 2 triple (possible quads) with two bathroom/WCs. Each double room has its own balcony.

These chalets are great for large groups and are also ideal for 3 families as each double room can be twinned with a children’s room and bathroom/ WC which maintains each family’s privacy.
